OVFC to Host Annual Carnival
That time of year is almost upon us. What time is that you ask? It is the time when we transform the parking lot of the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company into the best carnival in Anne Arundel County! Mark your calendars for the end of May to come out and have some family fun while helping to support your local fire company. We hope to see you there!

Odenton Volunteers hold Rescue Training20 April 2012 - On Saturday, members of the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company came together to participate in their quarterly drills. This quarter's topic was vehicle extrication. It was a chance for veterans to hone their skills while teaching new members safety and proper operation of hydraulic rescue tools. Everything from ensuring the stability of the vehicle to medical procedures after extrication was covered. |

OVFC Holds Annual Banquet6 April 2012 - On the evening of Saturday, April 6, members and friends of the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company assembled at the fire hall for the annual awards banquet celebrating 82 years of service to the community. Several special guests were in attendance including Laura Neuman, Anne Arundel County Executive who spoke briefly to the assembled guests and retired U.S. Army Colonel Bert Rice, Colonel Al Shehab and Norm Meyers, all long time friends of the fire company who together cut the ceremonial birthday cake. |

Odenton Volunteers respond to Brush Fires14 April 2012 - Sunday marked a busy day for the volunteers at Odenton with 14 calls. Brush fires were the order of the day owing to warm, dry and breezy weather. Crews from Engine 282 and Jeep 28 responded to three separate brush calls, along with Chief 28 who held command of each incident. Two of the brush fires were in Odenton and one was located in Severn. Engine 282 also handled a small cooking fire and later provided a transfer crew for Savage Volunteer Fire Department Station 6 in Howard County. |
